10th Annual Golf Outing


Over 100 Golfers enjoyed a beautiful day on the links yesterday at the Greencastle Golf Club. Proceeds from the charity event support the Jim Thomas Scholarship Fund and the mission of the Greencastle-Antrim Education Foundation.

The day began with breakfast, provided by Sunnyway Foods, and before play even began, Tim Farris won the 50/50 Raffle Drawing. Volunteers prepared and served lunch, provided by Kline’s Grocery.

Special appreciation to our Impact Sponsors, which included: 3 Clovers Roofing and Construction; Blaise Alexander Chevrolet; Gate 7, LLC; GoSports Turf; Graphics Universal; and Premier HVAC. Numerous other local businesses sponsored various holes or tees, all of which helped make this the most successful year ever.

Following the four-person scramble, the golfers gathered back at the Clubhouse, to find out which door prizes they won, as they awaited the final scores.

The winning team in the First Flight had 17 under par, with a score of 55: Steve Coleman, Duane Cunningham, Daryl Yoder and Steve Labutta.

Second Place in the First Flight was the Graphics Universal Team of: Jordan Gembe, Jaren Gembe, Jordan Statler and Adam Caron, with a score of 57, which was 15 under par.

Second Flight, First Place went to the Tele-Plus Team of: Spencer Heckman, Justin Boyd, Jason Ellis, and Tyler Lough, with a score of 66, which was 6 under par.

Second Flight, Second Place, with 5 under par, and a score of 67, went to Kegan Crider, Wes Donaldson, Aaron Earhart and Mike Earhart.

The Blackstone Griddle, donated by Leckron’s Comfort Solutions, was won by: Rusty Cordell; and the TPAC Jasna Polana Raffle was won by: Kegan Crider.

Next year’s 11th Annual GAEF Golf Tournament, will be held during Old Home Week, on Saturday, August 6, 2022.
